PAM Update: Adds time window for job executions, path navigation for object browser and request review for approvers

Highlights of this update include support for job execution time window, an action-able path-based navigation system for system objects and the option for a user to review the status of this user’s approved requests.

Added support for job execution time window

This update adds support for job execution time window limiting activities triggered on the remote computers by certain hours or days of the week.

This option allows to accumulate scheduled job execution and password reset activities during normal system operations but executes them only during a designated time of the day (for example, at night or during the weekend)

Time execution window setting is an expression in cron format in node configuration for Job Queue execution in Administration / Settings / Node settings for Worker node.

When this parameter is defined the jobs will be scheduled following system events (such as unlock or edit) or periodic policies (such as Monthly or Weekly) as usual. However, these jobs will be executed only during the specified time window.

Added action-able path-based navigation system to folders and records browser

This update adds support to display permission trimmed paths to the folder and to the record view screen.

Each element in this path is a click-able link navigating the user to the corresponding folder.

The path is displayed on the top of a folder listing and a record view screen allowing quickly understanding the location (or multiple locations in case of links) of the current object in the folder hierarchy.

Multiple paths will be displayed in case of the object is linked to different folders.

In addition to this, the option allows using the regular browser Back button to step back to the previous folder when navigating folder hierarchy enabling the familiar page browsing experience for the system folder navigation.

Added the option for a user to review the status of this user’s approved requests

The update extends My Workflow report to include requests approved by the current user.

This option allows the request approver to see the activities of other approvers of this request as well as the current status of this request without the need to contact the original requester to make informed decisions about the further actions needed to grant the requested access.
