Using your preferred RDP client, desktop or mobile, you can now connect to XTAM RemoteApp sessions to launch native applications from within a secured RDP session without disclosing secrets to your users. Prior to this month, RemoteApp sessions were only supported for in-browser web sessions. Now these sessions can be created with the same level of security and control, directly from a user’s native RDP client.

We extended the convenience of email-based workflow approvals by simply replying Approve or Reject to a request. XTAM notification templates now include a Shortcut so that Approvers can approve or reject requests from their desktop or mobile browsers. XTAM System Administrators can configure whether these approvals do or do not require authentication, allowing for the option to approve or reject requests anonymously.

When creating or extending Record Types to include additional Fields, these fields now have the added functionality to support both Hidden and Default Values. A field set to Hidden will make this field not appear when viewing the Record (hidden fields are viewable in Edit mode) and Default Values will define a present value for each field that it is available in a record. Custom fields and their attributes can be easily modified by XTAM System Administrators to enhance records for greater searchability and ease of use.

XTAM can now be deployed to Windows infrastructure using an interactive PowerShell script that includes the many command line options needed to define your installation choices. Additionally, a Silent Installer option can be used for deployment automation and repeatability for large scale environments, elastic provisioning in cloud or closed datacenters and to introduce a cleaner separation of duties between the deployment and management of XTAM by limiting exposure to sensitive system keys and passwords.
